Pullulo was founded in 2022 by Jonathan Cheng, who has built a successful career in the food catering industry. Witnessing first-hand the vast amount of food that went to waste while millions continued to suffer from hunger, he knew there had to be a better way to address this global inefficiency.  

Driven by a desire to create meaningful impact for both people and planet, Jonathan founded Pullulo – a company dedicated to giving food a second life.  

Today, Pullulo is upcycling agricultural waste into novel, high-value plant-based ingredients, redefining what is possible in sustainable innovation. Through our proprietary technology platforms, we transform waste into science-backed, natural biomaterials that drive progress in beauty, nutrition and health – solving agri-circularity challenges for a better tomorrow.
